Full-Time Staff RN/Per Diem RN: Works to provide care for inpatient patients age 18 to 95 with all psychiatric diagnoses. Cares for 8 to 12 patients per shift providing ADL care, vital sign monitoring, medical interventions, pre/post ECT assessment, behavioral care plan institution, patient education, and medication administration. Collaborates with team of social workers, MDs, NPs, and occupational therapists to advocate patient needs and ensure patient’s participation in treatment plan and follow through of orders from team. Completes daily progress notes, comprehensive treatment plans, admission assessments, and discharge paperwork. At times assumed charge RN responsibilities to manage 32 patient beds and 10 to 15 staff members while maintaining own patient load. Attends workshops to better crisis prevention interventions, restraint usage, and Plane Tree model applications on inpatient units. Participated in safety improvement work group.
